The reason I talk about motivation is because it alone is the attribute that will determine how successful you will be in selecting a career for your future! Regardless of your personality traits or interests, if you spend time researching and thinking about applying your preferences to careers, you will make progress in your career search. Spending time researching and thinking takes motivation and the challenge is mustering enough motivation to thoughtfully complete the required assignments and readings.
