Interests Lesson | What are your interests

We’re convinced that if you find out what you love to do and then do it you
won’t spend the 100,000 hours of work in your lifetime wishing you were somewhere
else.

Identifying your interests can help you take one big step toward finding a career that’s right for you. It stands to reason that you will be more successful at something that you like, and you are more likely to be happy in a career that involves activities that you enjoy. Therefore consider your hobbies or interests- would any of them support you financially?
If not, look for a field that keeps you close to your hobby or interests.
For example, even though you may not be able to fulfill your lifelong dream of becoming a Hollywood movie star, there are many jobs in the movie or television business-like advertising, camera work, fashion design, or location management-that you could find rewarding and that would provide a decent income.
To help you identify your interests it might take some brainstorming or listing of all random ideas that come to mind associated with a topic.
Remember, knowing what really interests you will help you to discover those fields that combine what you really like to do. Think broadly. Open up your mind.
